Detailed Itinerary for Do Dham Yatra

Day 1: Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun to Sersi via Guptkashi
Your spiritual journey begins as you depart from Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun, heading towards Sersi. Along the way, visit the Vishwanath Temple in Guptkashi, a sacred temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This ancient shrine, surrounded by the serene Himalayas, is believed to be where Lord Shiva hid from the Pandavas before appearing at Kedarnath. Continue through the scenic Mandakini Valley and arrive at Sersi, the gateway to Kedarnath. Overnight stay in Sersi.

Day 2: Sersi to Kedarnath
Today marks the most significant part of your pilgrimage as you journey to Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

Choose between a 16 km trek from Gaurikund or opt for a helicopter ride from Sersi for a faster and more comfortable experience.
Upon reaching Kedarnath, visit the sacred Kedarnath Temple, nestled between snow-clad peaks. The temple is said to have been built by the Pandavas and later revived by Adi Shankaracharya.
Participate in the evening aarti, a mesmerizing experience filled with divine chants and an overwhelming sense of spirituality.
Stay overnight near the temple in a hotel or camp, soaking in the serene and sacred atmosphere.

Day 3: Kedarnath to Sonprayag to Triyuginarayan Temple to Sersi
After a morning darshan at Kedarnath, descend to Sonprayag, where your vehicle awaits.

Visit the Triyuginarayan Temple, the mythological site where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were married. The eternal flame burning at the temple is said to have been alight since their divine wedding.
The temple is surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty, making it a perfect spiritual and scenic retreat.
Return to Sersi for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Sersi to Badrinath – Journey to Vishnu’s Abode
Depart from Sersi and board on your journey to Badrinath, the abode of Lord Vishnu.

En route, stop at the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath, where the idol of Kedarnath is kept during winter.
Drive through Chopta, often called “Mini Switzerland of India”, offering lush meadows, stunning forests, and breathtaking Himalayan views.
Upon arrival in Badrinath, take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund (hot water spring) before offering prayers at the Badrinath Temple.
Participate in the evening aarti, a spiritually uplifting experience. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 5: Badrinath to Srinagar – Visit Mana Village & Sacred Confluences
Start your day with a morning darshan at Badrinath Temple before exploring the sacred sites around Badrinath.

Visit Mana Village, the last Indian village before the Tibetan border, and explore sites such as:
Vyas Gufa (where Ved Vyas composed the Mahabharata)
Bheem Pul, a natural bridge over the Saraswati River
Saraswati River, a mystical river that appears briefly before disappearing underground
Continue your journey towards Srinagar, visiting sacred confluences such as:
Vishnuprayag (where Alaknanda meets Dhauliganga)
Karnaprayag (where Alaknanda meets Pindar River)
Nandprayag (where Alaknanda meets Nandakini River)
Stop at the Dhari Devi Temple, where Goddess Dhari Devi is believed to protect the region.
Arrive in Srinagar for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Srinagar to Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun via Devprayag
