Bara Bhangal Trekking Itinerary

  • Day1

    Delhi – Chandigrah

    Embark on a train journey from Delhi to Chandigarh and once you arrive, settle into your hotel. Explore the stunning hills and valleys of Chandigarh through sightseeing activities.

  • Day2

    Chandigarh – Bir

    You can either opt to drive or take a night train from Chandigarh to Bir. After reaching Bir, spend the night at a hotel.

  • Day3

    Bir – Billing

    Commence your trek from Bir to Billing, covering a distance of approximately 8 kilometers in about 4 hours. Spend the night camping at your destination.

  • Day4

    Billing – Rajgundha

    Embark on a trek from Billing to Rajgundha, spanning a distance of 10 kilometers, and trek for approximately 4-5 hours until you reach the designated campsite. Spend the night camping at the site.

  • Day5

    Rajgundha – Palachak (2980mts)

    Begin your trek by following a level and uncomplicated trail that winds through pine forests, with numerous mountain streams along the way. As the valley broadens, you'll be treated to panoramic vistas of the vast Kangra valley. On the opposite side of the pass, brace yourself for a lengthy and steep descent until you arrive at the Palachak campsite, where you'll spend the night.

  • Day6

    Palachak – Panihatru(3200m) 14 km 5 hrs

    Commence your trek from Palachak to Panihatru, which spans approximately 14 kilometers. After completing the trek, spend the night at Panihatru.

  • Day7

    Panihatru – Mahru / Udag over Thamsar Pass (4710mts)

    Embark on your trek from Panihatru to Mahru, traversing the Thamsar Pass and taking in the awe-inspiring vistas of the valleys and mountains. After a fulfilling day of trekking, retire for the night at Udag.

  • Day8

    Udag – Barabhangal village. 4hrs camp

    Resume your trek from Udag to Barabhangal village, marveling at the breathtaking scenery of the countryside along the way. This leg of the journey should take around 4 hours. Spend the night camping in Barabhangal village.

  • Day9

    Barabhangal – Dhardi ( Tough) 6-7 hrs

    Commence your trek from Barabhangal to Dhardi, which may be a bit more challenging than the previous treks, spanning approximately 6-7 hours.

  • Day10

    Dhardi – Nayagran

    Savor the experience of trekking through the stunning hills and valleys on the trail from Barabhangal to Dhardi, although this trek will be more demanding than the previous ones, taking around 6-7 hours to complete. Spend the night at Dhardi

  • Day11

    Drive to Dalhousie
