How to reach

You have to report at the camps at Old Manali which is also the starting point of the trek and it is around 12 km from Mall Road of Manali. Many local means of transport and private cabs are available from Mall Road to reach Old Manali.

Program ( 04 days / 03 nights )

  • Day1

    As you arrive in Manali, you will find yourself in a town nestled in the picturesque Beas River Valley.

    Upon reaching Manali, you can directly head to your pre-booked campsite and settle in for the day. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore the beautiful surroundings of Manali. You can visit some of the famous temples in the area like the Hadimba Devi Temple, which is located amidst the serene Deodar trees and is considered the heart of Manali. The Manu Temple and Vashisht Temple are also worth a visit to experience the spiritual vibe of the town. The Tibetan Monastery is another popular attraction that should not be missed. The monastery is surrounded by shops selling beautiful handicrafts and carpets, making it an ideal place for souvenir shopping. Later in the evening, you can take a stroll down the Mall Road, which is famous for its cafes and shops. You can indulge in some shopping or try out the local delicacies at the cafes. After spending a day full of exploration, you can head back to the camps for a delicious dinner and spend a comfortable night in Manali.

    Solang Valley to Jaralu Thach via Dhundi (8 kms in 4 hours)

    On the second day of the Beas Kund Trek, wake up early in the morning, have a hearty breakfast, and check out from the hotel. Then, reach a pre-determined spot in Solang Valley, where the trek leader will provide you with a brief introduction to the trek. After that, you will begin your trek to Bakar/Jaralu Thach, which is located at an altitude of 3149 m. The trek is around 8 km long and the terrain is soft with a gradual incline, taking you through towering fir trees and dense oak and walnut forests. As you trek, enjoy the fresh forest fragrance and the silence pervading the woods, except for the occasional bird and the sound of your footsteps. Don't forget to take in the magnificent views of the surrounding Himalayas, specifically the sight of Hanuman Tibba in the distance which is enchanting on its own. Upon reaching Bakar/Jaralu Thach, set up camp and relax for some time. The campsite presents the trekkers with a splendid vista of the Beas river meandering past boulders and green slopes all around, which will make you feel one with nature. In the evening, relish a delicious dinner prepared by the trek staff and retire to your tent for the night.

    Dhundi - Beas Kund - Dhundi (12 kms and 8 - 10 hours)

    Waking up to a beautiful morning in the majestic Himalayas, surrounded by fresh mountain air and the calming sounds of nature. As you prepare for the trek, the aroma of a scrumptious breakfast fills your senses, energizing you for the journey ahead. The trek to Beas Kund is an experience that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime. The journey is a little strenuous, but the rewards are worth it. As you begin your ascent, the snow-capped peaks of Deo Tibba and Indrasen come into view, and you'll be greeted by lush vistas of the Himalayan mountains. As you continue your hike, you'll notice the scenery changing around you. The vegetation will become sparse, and you'll begin to see the glacier from a distance. After walking for 4-5 hours, you'll arrive at the Beas Kund, a lake with strikingly blue waters that are surrounded by high mountains and purple wildflowers.  The Beas Kund is the source of the river Beas and is surrounded by a seemingly endless expanse of grasslands. As you observe the pattern of the water flow, the various streams become one and join the big main river. Spend some time taking in the breathtaking vistas and clicking some pictures as souvenirs to remember your journey. After a while, it's time to begin the trek back to Dhundi, which will take another 4-5 hours. Upon reaching the campsite, refresh yourself with a quick shower and relish a delicious dinner before heading to your tent. As you drift off to sleep, the memories of the trek to Beas Kund will remain etched in your mind, and you'll wake up with a renewed sense of wonder and awe for the beauty of nature.

    Dhundi To Solang Valley

    Starting your day early is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of nature at its finest. As you open your eyes, you'll be greeted by the mesmerizing sunrise, painting the sky with hues of orange and yellow. After a hearty breakfast, it's time to begin your descent back to Solang Valley. The journey back to Solang Valley will take up to 4 hours at a comfortable pace, giving you plenty of time to admire the surrounding vistas and cherish the memories of your trek. Once at Solang Valley, you have the option to take a bus or a shared taxi back to Manali, or you can choose to participate in any of the activities available here on your own.
