Day-wise itinerary
Day 1: Haridwar / Rishikesh to Joshimath
Start early from Haridwar or Rishikesh and drive along the Ganga through Devprayag, Srinagar, Karnaprayag and Chamoli to Joshimath. Check in on arrival and spend the evening at leisure, with dinner at the hotel. The drive takes around 9 to 10 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Day 2: Joshimath to Auli, Full Day at Auli
After breakfast, drive up to Auli, with views of Nanda Devi and Mana Parvat on a clear day. Spend the day on the meadows and slopes, with the cable car ride if you choose it. In winter, enjoy snow activities or a ski session with an instructor if conditions allow. Return to Joshimath or stay at Auli for the night, and have dinner at the stay.
Day 3: Auli to Chopta
After a relaxed breakfast, check out and drive via Chamoli and Gopeshwar to Chopta. Check in at your camp or hotel on arrival, then spend the evening at leisure in the meadows and have dinner at the stay. The drive takes around 5 to 6 hours, depending on road conditions.
Day 4: Tungnath and Chandrashila Trek
Begin the trek early to Tungnath, one of the highest Shiva temples in the world, through rhododendron forest and open meadows. Continue to Chandrashila summit if the weather allows, for views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedarnath and Chaukhamba. Return to Chopta in the afternoon, relax and have dinner. The trek is about 3.5 km one way to Tungnath, with roughly 1.5 km more to Chandrashila.
Day 5: Deoria Tal and Sari Village
After breakfast, drive to Sari village, the starting point for the short trek to Deoria Tal, a calm lake with reflections of the Chaukhamba peaks. Enjoy the walk and time by the lake, then return to Sari and drive back to Chopta. Spend the evening at leisure in the meadows. The trail to Deoria Tal is about 2.5 km each way and suits most fitness levels.
Day 6: Chopta to Haridwar / Rishikesh
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Haridwar or Rishikesh via Ukhimath, Rudraprayag and Devprayag. The tour ends on arrival, with drop-off at your preferred point. The drive takes around 7 to 8 hours.

Important information
Important travel information
Auli, the Tungnath and Chandrashila trek and the Deoria Tal trek all depend on weather, snow and trail conditions, and activities may be shortened or skipped for safety. The guide's decision on safety is final. Skiing at Auli is seasonal, usually from January to early March, and the cable car may pause in strong wind or heavy snow. Chopta also has heavy snowfall in winter, usually from December to February, so trails and roads may close. Road access between Rishikesh, Joshimath, Chopta and Sari village can be affected by landslides during the monsoon (July to September) and by snow in winter, so travel timings and the itinerary may change for safety. Auli is at about 2,500 metres, Chopta at about 2,600 metres, Tungnath at about 3,600 metres, Chandrashila at about 4,000 metres and Deoria Tal at about 2,400 metres, so carry warm layers, a waterproof jacket, sturdy trekking shoes with good grip, gloves, a woollen cap, a torch, sunglasses, sunscreen and any personal medicines. Day 1 is a long drive of around 9 to 10 hours, so guests prone to motion sickness should carry medication for the winding mountain roads. Start early on the trek days, as afternoon weather can change quickly, and tell your guide at once if you feel dizzy, breathless or unwell. The Tungnath and Chandrashila trek is moderate and the Deoria Tal trail is easier, and guests with knee, breathing or heart concerns should check with a doctor before booking. Mobile networks and ATMs are limited at Auli, Chopta and Sari, so carry enough cash. Hotels and camps at all stops are basic, and electricity and hot water may be limited. Camping and entry rules at Deoria Tal are set by the forest department and may change. Cancellation terms, the payment schedule and the final inclusions will be shared in writing with your confirmed quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Can this package be customised? Yes, request a quote with your dates, number of travellers and preferences.
Is the price fixed? No confirmed starting price has been provided; request a current quotation.
Are activities guaranteed? No. They depend on weather, season, permissions and the confirmed itinerary.
What is the best time for this package? March to June and September to November are best for clear views and comfortable travel. Winter (December to February) brings snow at both places, but roads and trails may be affected, and skiing at Auli is usually possible from January to early March.
Is skiing included? Skiing, the instructor and gear rental are not included unless confirmed in your quotation, and they depend on snow. Without snow, the full day at Auli is for sightseeing, the meadows and the cable car ride.
What does the extra day add compared to the 5-day package? The sixth day adds a visit to Sari village and the short trek to Deoria Tal, a calm lake with reflections of the Chaukhamba peaks, so you get a relaxed lake day after the Tungnath trek.
How difficult are the treks? The Tungnath and Chandrashila trek is moderate, about 3.5 km one way to Tungnath, with roughly 1.5 km more to Chandrashila. The Deoria Tal trail is about 2.5 km each way and suits most fitness levels. No prior trekking or skiing experience is needed, and Chandrashila can be skipped.
How long are the drives? Day 1 is around 9 to 10 hours, Day 3 around 5 to 6 hours and Day 6 around 7 to 8 hours, including stops. The other days are shorter or relaxed.
Is the package suitable for families and senior travellers? Yes, with planning. The drives are long and the altitude may be tiring, so Chandrashila and skiing can be skipped, and Deoria Tal is an easier option. Share ages and any health concerns when requesting your quote.
What should I pack? Pack thermals, a warm jacket, a waterproof layer, sturdy trekking shoes with good grip, gloves, a woollen cap, a torch, sunglasses, sunscreen, motion-sickness medicine if needed and any personal medicines.
Will I get mobile network and ATM access? Network is limited at Auli, Chopta and Sari, and ATMs are not reliable, so carry enough cash and let family know about patchy connectivity.
